Andrea taught viola and violin in Colombia for many years in institutions such as the House of Culture, Municipality of
Caldas in Antioquia Colombia, Batuta Caldas Foundation in Colombia, Center of Continuous
Formation (CEC) of EAFIT University, Red of Music Schools in Medellin, and online lessons in the
Iberacademy. She has performed with the Iberacademy Orchestra, Joven Sinfonica de Colombia,
Orquesta Sinfonica de Caldas, Filarmonica del Café, Joven Filarmonica de Colombia and
Filarmonica de Medellin. In addition, she has played side by side with Houston Symphony
Orchestra and New World Symphony orchestra. She has been working at Diversity Orchestra in St.
Louis and at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp as Viola faculty, player and Cabin Counselor. She has
played in Greenville Messiah Project for three years, Edwardsville Symphony Orchestra, St.
Elizabeth Church at Marine IL, Texarcana Symphony Orchestra and SIUE Symphonic Orchestra.

Andrea is an active member of Suzuki Association of Americas, Phi kappa Phi Honor
Society member and Fellow member of PI Kappa Lambda, National Honor Society in Music. She
has been honored to receive numerous scholarships such as Employees Contribution Scholarship
by EAFIT University Employees Organization, and String Award in Music, Dr. Warren L. Brown
Memorial Graduate Student Music Award and Engelman Scholarship for String Students at
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

She likes to learn new ways of teaching music and enjoying doing workshops such as Early Blues
and Jazz by Renata Bratt, as well as doing freelance Chamber music projects such as Glasses
Quartet. Andrea has recently moved to Connecticut to join the Suzuki Music Schools faculty.
