“If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They get a beautiful heart” ~Dr. Shinichi Suzuki

Meet the Instruments: Building an Orchestra
Join us for a playful summer journey through the orchestra! Each week, children and parents will explore a different family of instruments through singing, movement, listening, rhythm activities, and hands-on musical experiences.

Week 1 introduces the full orchestra, followed by:

  • Week 2: Strings
  • Week 3: Woodwinds
  • Week 4: Brass
  • Week 5: Percussion

Children will hear musical selections from the classical repertoire performed by the London Symphony Orchestra while discovering instrument sounds, musical concepts, and even the science of sound itself. Classes include movement, singing, rhythm exploration, listening activities, and joyful parent-child participation designed to nurture musical development and curiosity.

Perfect for families interested in preparing children for future instrumental study.
